NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is gearing up for an exciting and busy year in 2025, following the challenges faced in 2024 and a serious fire incident affecting workers’ homes. Despite these challenges, the laboratory has maintained its commitment to ensuring mission operations remain on track and has several launches and milestones lined up.

Navigating a New Horizon

The year 2025 marks a significant endeavor for NASA JPL as it prepares for an array of missions that promise to enhance the understanding of our universe. From mapping the secrets of the moon to exploring the depths of our oceans on Earth, the array of upcoming missions includes:

  • SPHEREx: A space observatory that will explore the early universe.
  • Lunar Trailblazer: A mission focused on lunar water discovery.
  • NISAR: A groundbreaking satellite mission set to monitor and measure changes on Earth’s surface.
  • Sentinel-6B: A mission emphasizing sea-level monitoring.
  • CADRE Rovers: Robots designed for autonomous exploration of the moon.
  • SEAQU: A quantum experiment addressing next-generation communication technologies.
  • Europa Clipper: A mission to study Jupiter’s moon, Europa.
